Why Are Weber's So Expensive?

In our for what it's worth department. I bought a Weber grill about 11 years ago, Then decided to replace it. It is too far out of reach,now that I am on a fixed income, $1000.00 plus is not an option. Thanks for the 11 years. I always thought that if things were kept reasonable cost wise that you would sell more. I guess it doesn't apply today.
