I have a Weber natural gas grill. It was installed in August 2007. Sometime in the first year or so I noticed the paint was beginning to peel on the inside of the hood. Over time the problem has gotten worse and worse. No matter how many times I scrape off the peelings and generally clean up the inside of the hood the next time I go to use the grill there are more peelings. The peelings of black paint get in the food if I am not careful. There seems to be no end to the peeling. I have some great pictures and I tried to send them but I can't seem to do it.

Not paint peeling NEW

What looks like black paint peeling is carbon buildup on the inside of the hood. That's why it keeps producing more. It's normal.
