Weber Smokey Mountain Smoker Cooker Man, I have looked at and have played with some cool smokers such as those from Spicewine Ironworks, the Big Green Egg, Lang, etc., but for the money you can't beat a WSM. Half a bag of charcoal, a couple tweaks to the vents, and I can chug along at 225 degrees all night. And it keeps my contest setup compact and lightweight which is key when watching fuel costs. For the backyard chef? No doubt. I'll soon be using my 22.5 inch WSM as my only at home smoker.
