Weber S470 Gas Grill

Just received the new S470. Read everything in the book abuot it. THREE TIMES. Fired it up and was very happy with the heat it puts out, and all the cool stuff it comes with.I still have a Q 200 that works just fine for 6 yrs now, just had to have this new S470."a guy thing" I may open a cafe on my carport.

Is it OK to sear a pork roast,to get some color on the outside and then use the smoker with the indirect heat(two outside burners) to finish it ?
