Weber Genesis 2000 LP circa 1999 and still going

This grill will not given in. She is over ten years old and still going strong! She sits on my deck 24-7 365 days. This is the first year in which I needed to call Weber Customer Service to get replacement parts. The Weber Customer Service people are tops!

I plan on breaking down the grill and doing a quick power wash. I'll add the new parts and have a BBQ.

I have axcess to a Genesis 2000 still in the box. Does anyone recall what they paid(retail) for their Genesis 2000?

You guys are right on. I have had my Weber Genesis 2000 for over 10 years now. It keeps on keeping on. I've replaced the flavor bars & cooking grates a couple of times but that's about
it. The electric igniter still works great. You need to throw out most grills after 3 or 4 years.
Not this one - it just won't quit.

Oh Man! you are so right! I love my Weber gen. 2000 grill! But I may have just killed it. I took apart the knob housing because the back burner wasn't working and i tried everything else, replaced every other part unneccessarily. Well when I was putting it back together I broke the screw casing. I don't find that part anywhere. Is there anything I can do?
