Why Weber Charcoal Grills Are So Good

If you know anything about Weber, you know that Weber charcoal grills started it all. A revolution in outdoor cooking began with the original Weber kettle grill back in the 1950's. Weber has carried on a proud tradition of quality and innovation ever since.

Even Weber charcoal grills have shown innovation over the years. Gone are the days of struggling to clean your grill. The Weber One Touch grills are designed to clean out the ashes with the push of a button. The Weber Performer grills add the ability to light your charcoal with the push of a button. Slick!

But the innovation doesn't stop there. They eventually heard from enough people that loved Weber charcoal grills, but need to cook for more people. So, they came up with the Weber Ranch Kettle charcoal grill. This thing is a monster, yet maintains the high quality in both construction and performance as all their other charcoal and gas grills.

Of course, at one point the clamor for a dedicated smoker became too loud to ignore. So they developed possibly one of the most popular charcoal smokers of all time, the Weber Smokey Mountain Cooker Smoker. While you won't be doing any grilling on this, it's perfect for maintaining low temperatures for a long period of time. And the vertical (bullet) design is perfect for smoking. Smoke rises! If you've never smoked ribs before, you're missing out. If you keep trying it on your gas grill, you're too far gone to save.

In addition to the high quality, local availability and excellent customer service, getting parts and accessories for Weber charcoal grill is a snap. Websites abound with pieces and parts. And Amazon.com has a whole slew of stuff as well. But if you need a quick fix, your neighbor building supply chain probably has what you need, and Ace Hardware generally carries just about anything Weber you could possibly want.

Figuring It All Out

It's hard for me to pick a favorite Weber charcoal grill. They all have a certain appeal to me. Generally, they are not all in one solutions, so if you have a smoker, maybe you want a simple charcoal grill or maybe one with a work table like the Perform. Maybe you just need a small portable charcoal grill like the Smokey Joe. If you've got the right charcoal grill, maybe need something that is designed for smoking.

Personally, I think a Weber Performer charcoal grill would be the perfect compliment to my outdoor kitchen. I need something I can dedicate to grilling while I'm using my Bubba Keg Grill (now the Big Steel Keg Grill) for indirect cooking or smoking. It would also be nice to have the work table. I really don't need to cook for a lot of people, so the Weber Ranch is out of the question for me. Maybe you're needs are different. Either way, you cannot go wrong with a charcoal grill by Weber.
