Viking Grills are the brainchild of Fred E. Carl, Jr. A fourth generation building contractor, Carl noticed the want and needs of the consumers blossoming as they search for industrial style, stainless steel ranges, and later grills. Carl helped make this dream come true by starting Viking Range Corporation in 1984.

It was a two-year process getting the Viking range engineered and certified, with the creation of a hybrid between commercial and residential equipment. The first of its kind, Carl introduced it to the American Gas Association labs for testing. This was another lengthy process, since no such thing had ever been made before. After final approval, a test market batch of twenty was released to the public. Well, the product was so well received that Viking exploded in business!

Within the next ten years the company continued growing, eventually making its way into the grilling market. Viking had moved into historic downtown Greenwood, Mississippi and had grown out of the area to encompass worldwide plants and facilities. Never losing sight of its own history, Fred Carl supports historical preservation and helped rebuild after Katrina.

Viking Grill Viking not only offers appliances for the home, but the company also supports cooking through classes, gourmet events, online instruction, and culinary travel. Also committed to leaving a light carbon footprint in its wake, Viking manufacturing recycled over four billion pounds of stainless steel and iron, using recycled steel in its grills and appliances. The production allows for efficient run times, less scrap, low energy consumption and few errors. There is a strong community commitment with its charitable contributions.

The Viking BQCO is a commercial type grill with 25,000 BTU and stainless steel grill burners. The burner box is extra deep and sealed to keep the heat contained for easier temperature maintenance.
