Thermos Grill 2 Go Fire & Ice

I was tailgating and seen a Thermos brand grill that was portable and it was built into a cooler. Do they still make them

Unfortunately the Thermos Fire and Ice Grill 2 Go has been discontinued by Char-Broil (the maker). It was certainly an interesting concept. I don't have a any idea if there are plans to bring this one back.

Did you get a chance to ask the owner what they thought about it? I'd be interested to hear. Maybe enough ground swell will bring this one back

my buddy got one for his b-day and let me use it a couple of times fell in love with it cooks fast and the little tank last a while then a couple year ago found one at a yard sale for 50 bucks now i have my own this grill better last forever.

Always a Hit!

I love this grill. I use it for tailgating and camping. It works great! I get offers from others to buy it everywhere I go. Everyone loves it.
I looked at this "new version" and it is not better. The grill grate on the original has a 12 inch x 12 inch smooth area for pancakes, eggs, or greenpeppers/onions. This new one doesn't. It also doesn't show any accessories such as the side tables or utensils.
Lastly, the part evryone loves about this grill is the fact that it "magically" rises when you press the petal. I doubt they kept that wow factor.
As with most things, they don't make them like they used to.

It's Back!

CharBroil has resurrected the concept of a grill/cooler combo, but updated it. See it here: http://www.charbroil.com/newproducts/grill2go-ice.html

It now cooks using CharBroil's infrared technology similar to the RED series of backyard grills. It has two separate insulated heavy duty cloth coolers.

I just got one today and will be trying it out over the weekend. reviews on Amazon say it works as stated, but it's big and heavy, (just like the old Coleman/Thermos versions of the Fire and Ice).

I really miss my grill to go. It was a great grill and whoever stole it, I hope they got fare use out of it. I am aggravated that they no longer make it.

I literally survived on the fire and ice!

This product was amazing. My cousin and I traveled the coast and we literally survived by buying food, keeping it cold in the cooler, and then cooking it with the grill. It always started right up and cooked well. Large grill surface, so we could cook enough food at once and still perserve the small tank. It does get a little heavy with the grill on top. however the wheels always rolled well. We rolled it all over the beach and never had any issues. The grill was stolen toward the end of adventure and we quickly went to see if we could get another one, only to find out sadly they were discontinued. Please provide some information as to the 2010 model that is coming out. Thanks

Grill 2 Go updated for 2010

I have it on good authority that the new Grill 2 Go for 2010 will be both infrared and have insulated twin soft-sided coolers. So it's coming back - even better.
