The Traditional Holland Grill

by Barbara Crews
(Bowling Green, KY)

My holland cooks delicious tasty meats, but I have had it blow up in my face twice. Once cooking my Thanksgiving turkey, and just last week getting ready to cook hamburgers. The last time required a visit to the emergency room. It burnt my face (first degree burns) took all my eyebrows, seinged my eyelashes, hair on face and arm, and my head of hair. I have a nice new SHORT haircut now. Holland is sending a representative to look at it today. We will see.

lighting grill
by: Anonymous

You should open the lid of the grill before attempting to begin the lighting procedure. Turn on the gas valve at the propane tank. Now light your lighter and put the lighted lighter in the opening in the bottom of the grill under the burner. Now turn on the gas valve at the burner on the grill. If you ever have the unit not light and gas is in the grill you need to wait several minutes for the gas to disapate before attempting to relight the grill.
