Sunbeam Products is an American brand founded in 1910 in Chicago, Illinois. It has manufactured electric home appliances including the popular Mixmaster mixer, the Sunbeam CG waffle iron, the Coffeemaster, and the fully-automatic T20 toaster. Today, these products are no longer in the market or have evolved into more advanced and modern appliances. In the 1950s and 1960s, Sunbeam shot to industrial stardom with its line of sprinklers (after buying out the Rain King Sprinkler Company)

In the next decades, the company became the leading manufacturer of small appliances and garnered annual sales amounting to 1.3 billion dollars and employed nearly 30,000 people. In 1981, Sunbeam was bought by Allegheny International Inc. In the 90’s, Sunbeam experienced a decline once more. However, in 1996 and 1997, Sunbeam reported a massive increase in sales due to the high demand for Sunbeam grills. In 2001, finally, after much scrutiny from the government, the company filed for bankruptcy protection. In 2002, it re-emerged as a private company, now under the name American Household Inc., for which the Sunbeam Products Inc. has become its subsidiary.

Today, Sunbeam has household products ranging from Health and Home (air conditioners, dehumidifiers, heating pads, and heaters, etc.), Garment Care (Iron and Iron Accessories), Bedding (Blankets, Comforters, Mattress Pads, etc.), and of course, Kitchen (Blenders, Microwaves, Grills).
