Summit Gold Purchased in 2005 Not Holding Up
by Richard
(Annapolis, MD)
I have had two Webers over the last 14 years, moving up to the Summit five years ago. I hate to be a naysayer, but I am moving to another brand. We live on the water in Annapolis, Md and grill 4 or 5 times each week. The grill is uncovered and has not held up as I expected. I knew I would need to replace flavorizer bars and grates. I did not expect, however, that the firebox itself and the little ledge that the grates sit on would fail. Now I have to literally bang the front of the firebox so the grates don't fall into the box. In addition, the cabinet frame has completed failed due to rust and I have bricks holding it up so the doors don't fall out.
