My Favorite Flank Steak Marinade
by Conrad
While there's nothing like a juicy flank steak, a 24-hour marinade can make it even better. You'll need to collect these ingredients:
- 1 can undiluted consommé - 1/3 cup soy sauce - 3 tablespoon lime juice - 1/4 cup chopped green onions - 2 tablespoon brown sugar - 1 1/2 teaspoon season salt - 1 clove garlic, minced - 1/2 grated fresh ginger
After combining all of the ingredients, periodically flip the streak so both sides get marinated well. Then refrigerate the marinade and steak overnight.
The next evening, broil or grill the flank steak. When broiling, you'll need to broil it for about three minutes on each side for a rare steak -more for medium and well-done versions.
While cooking the meat, add diagonal cuts atop the steak, and drizzle some of the extra marinade over the meat. When the steak is done cooking, get out your fork and steak knife-and enjoy!
