Members Mark 720-0586A

Purchased 06/20/09 - This 900.00+ dollar 4 burner/infrared grill w/infrared box and refrigerator; what we thought would be a nice addition to our outdoor patio. After only 6 months the refridgerator is howling.

When we called customer service for the warranty they stated that the refrigerator was not intended to run all the time, it is only ment to be used as a cooler. No where in there manual states this. In fact it does state that it takes 24 to 48 hours to get to proper temperature before storing food.

How many refrigerator's do you have that you must not run consistently and unplug periodically?

Falsely advertised product.

Fridge

Well it took us 6 months to get the replacement Refridgerator. And needless to say that if it gives out like the other one oh well! Now it is out of Warranty. I questioned them about the warranty on the new fridge and basically there is none even though it took them 6 months to get it to us. They only cover it from the original warranty date of purchase. We will let you know if the 2nd one craps out in 6 months.

Dangerous flare up
by: Glenn in Slidell. La.

Until last night I loved my Members Mark 720-0586A grill, especially the searing unit. Maybe I could have prevented this near catastrophe, maybe not. I will say I have only cleaned out the "drip pan" a few times, none recently. However, last night I lit the 2 center burners, allowed the unit to pre-heat, then returned with a well soaked cedar plank containing 2 filets of salmon, and 1 of tilapia. I lowered the heat to medium, lowered the lid, set the timer for 8 minutes and returned indoors. After 4 minutes I returned to find the unit ablaze. I assumed the cedar plank had somehow caught fire. Upon opening the lid I discovered the source of the flames was the drip pan, which upon opening the lid set the cedar plank ablaze too. While extinguishing the blaze and removing the food, 3 of the 4 grill burner on/off knobs slowly fell to the ground having melted. Today, in the light of day 13 hrs later, I go check the damage - to see if I can replace parts to get it back up and running - there's still a flame attached to the valves (even though I had turned them off upon discovering the fire last night). After 1.5 years of loving this unit, I was planning to incorporate it into my outdoor kitchen. Now it's headed for the trash heap! I guess you really do get what you pay for.

update
by: Trish

After speaking to higher management they informed us that their customer service and service manager representatives were incorrect. They are sending us another refridgerator and insure us that it is for constant use. We will see when we get the new one.

there's grill then there's Weber Grills!!!
by: Anonymous

don't be fooled by some of the so called "bargain grills" out there ...you've heard it before "you get what you pay for...! go ahead and spend a little extra and get a Weber grill, it won't let you down, reaks quality over any other grill (my opinion)learn how to use it. I think you'll agree! they don't go on sale often and when they do they're still usually more $ than the other "bargain grills" but hey, you'll end up saving in the long run. just my 2 cents. I do shop at Sam's meat etc.. good! I hope they start carrying Weber!!!
