Members Mark 4 Burner Gas Grill 6 Years Old

About to grill my chicken legs

At first the Members Mark grill was awesome. I did assemble myself (don't recommend), but the grill was great. I have only used the rotisserie once (not very functional), and probably only used the side burner a few times.

In retrospect, this was probably more grill than I needed. Regardless, the grill was great until about two years ago when the automatic lighter stopped functioning. I went on-line and bought the replacement part, but it still doesn't work. Now I am having issues getting the propane distributed equally to all the burners. In other words, the burner closest to the tank is really hot, the one farthest away is barely burning.

This was a "high end" grill when purchased, so I am somewhat disappointed that it hasn't held up that well. It is 6 years old at this point, and still functioning, but hasn't held up as well as I expected when purchased.

Hauled it off this past Friday, Good Riddens
by: Jason

This grill was great the first year, it rapidly went downhill after that. The ceramic flame distributors lasted very little time. I replaced them all and $100 worth of new cast iron burners. It lasted less than another year. The cart rusted on the sides and back. Drip pan totally fell out. I hauled it off last week and felt vindicated, only thing good is that maybe it will be recycled into something better??? But I doubt that since it was made with cheap chinese steel. I bought a Weber Genesis last fall it by far seems better built. It is now 9 months old and looks like new.

10 years and still grillin'
by: Dominick

I too bought this "High end" grill about 10 years ago. Now I will spend a couple hundred dollars to replace the burners and ignitor.

I too had the same experience that only one side gets really hot and the others suffer. But the biggest complaint is that the burners rusted out very quickly. They have now rusted to a point that I am afraid to even use the grill.

The Infrared burner with the Rotisserie was a big plus for us. We loved roasts and chickens slow roasted with the Infrared burner on the rotisserie! It uses so little gas and does a great job. My next grill will definitely have to have one of those.

Overall, I was pleased with this grill. Lots of room to cook. Never really used the side burner as it was near impossible to boil water on it. The outside stayed decent, but the inside of the grill does not fare well with time.

Well, 10 years and still going. There's something to be said for that.

I had one that appears exactly like yours...my biggest complaint(s) were the ceramic flame diffusers being so fragile & the fact that i couldn't seem to get it hot enough to sear a steak.
Otherwise I thought it was a pretty good grill & then decided to try charcoal...I just purchased a new Members Mark 30" to end that fiasco but a lot of my decision on what to buy was based on the 1st grill...time will tell.
