Holland Tradition Grill

by Steve
(California)

The Holland Grill cooks differently than other grills. While most grills have the flame right undeneath the grate, the Holland Grills flame is undeneath a 1/4 inch steel plate. So it acts more like an ovan than a grill. There is no flareup like a grill with the flame below the grate when you open the lid. The Holland Grill cooks most meat in about 45-60 minutes. It cooks burgers and steaks in 20-30 minutes.
It's basiclly putting the meat on and then coming back at the recomended cooking time and it's done, If you cook a lot of steaks & Burgers and you like them charbroiled I would look for a standard grill. If on the other hand if you cook a lot of chicken, pork, beef ribs, fish even pizza then I think you will find it a great grill.
One other thing, many older reviews I have read have said that their Holland Grill rusted out within five years. They have the older models that had sheet metal and were warranteed for five years for rust. All the new models use stainless steel and have a 15 year rust waranty.
