Electric Grills For Indoor Grilling

Use this search feature to quickly find the information you're looking for.

Yea, this site isn't about electric grills, it about gas grills. But guess what? Sometimes it's too cold, or wet, to cook outside on the grill.

Some of you may pass on the family get together in these situations, but there's no reason you can't have a barbecue just because you have to be indoors.

An electric is probably the safest equipment to cook that well-loved barbecue. Unlike charcoal grills, they don't produce open flames; nor do they use flammable liquids and gases. They are very convenient to use since you won't run out of charcoal or gas. All you need is a wall socket, the grill and there you are ready to grill that pork, chicken or beef.

They're also environment-friendly since there is no smoke emitted and you don't have to worry about smelling bad after finishing those hunks of barbecue pork on top of the flaming red charcoal. The only problem though, is that it's not safe to use an extension cord. So if you're using your electric grill at an outdoor event, you need to be near a building or electrical service; i.e., not open picnic areas. That's why they're also often used in daily kitchen cooking as good alternatives to frying pans or broiler. Of course, you're not going to get the same flavor as a charcoal grill, but maybe the convenience is what you're after.

When looking to buy an electric grill, you need to consider the available space for both storage and use. Also look for grills that are easy to clean and of course those that are designed to last longer since you'll be using them more often than you use your outdoor charcoal or gas grills.

Among the best buys in the market is the Sanyo Smokeless Indoor Electric Grill which is very simple, works well in everyday grilling, and is very affordable.

More expensive models like the Cuisinart Griddler are more flexible and can be used in grilling and cooking a variety of food. Most of these grills cost not more than $300 so you might consider this cooking gadget as a must-have especially if you love eating grilled stuff without having to wait for that barbecue party or bothering about the hassle of those charcoal and that gas tank to fill in.

The bottom line is that grilling is a process. You can't do everything with an indoor electric that you can do with an outdoor grill. You don't want to smoke yourself out of your house. But, some people like to interact with their food while its cooking, and it's a little too dangerous to constantly reach in under a broiler.

Whether you're rained out, fogged in or snowed in, an indoor grill is an option you should consider. And as always, look for a good balance between price and quality.
