Charmglow Model 810-8500 S

by Joan Prescott
(Cape Charles, VA)

CHARMGLOW BUYERS BEWARE!! These grills are built with the shoddiest possible materials. We bought a Charmglow 810-8500 gas grill at Lowes two years ago, paying over $300. It is distributed by Brinkmann Corp;, Dallas, TX. It is kept under cover of a porch roof throughout the grilling season and put away in a shed over the winter. When we tried to use it for Memorial Day cookout it would not light. It has completely rusted out inside to the point that we can't even get the parts out to replace them -- all the working heating elements, etc. are destroyed. The Charmglow people refuse to give us any accommodation either on replacement parts or a new grill but frankly, we'll never buy Charmglow again after this experience and recommend you don't, either..

by Stephen

I have the Charmglow Gourmet grill. Still cannot get the searing burner to light, or the rotisserie burner to light...matches, lit paper, will not light. Any suggestions?

Charmglow 8532 Drip Pan Design

by Ron
(Port St Lucie, FL)

Grill drip pan does not catch grease. Love the way it cooks, so I emailed brinkman (they make it for Home Depot). They responded and were very helpful. They even sent me another drip pan. Unfortunately it is no better.

The problem is that the side rails for the pan, which have the louvers in them for directing the grease into the pan were made too far apart. If you position the pan to the right it leaks on the left, and if moved to the left it leaks on the right. If centered, it leaks on both sides. Can find no way to adjust them.

The rails are part of the preassembled unit from the factory. It seems that the engineering should not have made the opening as large as the opening for the pan.

What a shame as it does cook well

Charmglow 810-7400S

by Craig
(St. Louis, MO)

We have owned the grill for about three years and from the very first day, it has been a pain to deal with. We have replaced the regulator three times to no avail as we always have to cook on HIGH because it will not adjust and never has. Now, all four casters are broken and we move it minimally. I can only find replacement casters at a price of $24 each. RIP OFF! I will never own another Charmglow product. Because we don't have a truck, I couldn't take it back or I would have. NEVER AGAIN!

Where do I find the LP version of of the Charmglow Drop In Grill?

by Reese Tipton

In your website, I found a Charmglow drop in grill. It says that there is a liquid propane model available. I cannot locate the propane model to order; I have contacted The Home Depot, and they don't seem to have a clue. Please provide me with a link for the Charmglow drop in liquid propane model. Thank you in advance.

Gourmet Series-Faux brick face on side cabinets

by Scott S
(Sea Girt , New Jersey, USA)

This is by far the biggest piece of garbage I've ever purchased. At only 2 years since I bought it, it is litterally falling apart before my eyes. Not only internally with the flame defusers and burners themselves, but this poorly constructed product is seperating at every weld.

The face of the drawers are held on at only one side as the other droops. The stainless steel is of such poor quality, it had surface rust building just a short while after I got it home.

This grill is also undercover, while I have another grill in the back (MakersMark from Sams club) exposed to the elememts year round for at least one year longer than I've owned this piece of junk and it has not one showing of rust or wear.

I would never suggest this manufacturer to anyone unless you are in the market for junk. I hope someone reads this and passes the word so I can help a few or more people not waste their money.

Reading many other reviews about this manufacturer on this web-site leads me to believe my Charmglow grill expierience is not an isolated incident.

Charmglow Model 810-8403-F at Home Depot

by Robert Bent
(Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada)

I purchased it at Home Depot and wrong parts in the box, 2 months later they called and said it was together now and they would ship it free of charge and throw in a free grill cover, let me tell you that the 300 dollars spent should have gone to another grill brand because its not even a year old and the burners are rotted out!!!!!! Home Depot says too bad and calling Charmglow and haven't talked to a single person yet about it.

Charmglow 810-8550-S 5 Burner Fail

by Larry M Stone
(Cooper City Fl 33328)

Pure junk. Just pulled the grill plates off and all the burners need replaced. The grill is 19 months old. Replacement parts just fo the tubes would be 150.00 plus the other tubes that collect each tube. So that's at least $200.00. I don't even want to talk about the cheap stainless steel material they use. It's cheaper to buy another grill but it won't be a piece of crap that Charmglow makes or any grill they attempt to make. This is a no star product.

Charmglow LS2500 Not Charming

by James Carper
(Hopkinton RI)

Bought three years ago, kept clean & covered outside. Right off the bat I noticed that the heat was very uneven with cold spots on the cooking surface. Got used to having to shift food around to get even results. A challenge when cooking 5 steaks at once! The second year I used it, I noticed severe corrosion along the Main Burner Bracket. I figured it was just a cheaply manufactured mass produced poorly designed grill. Made a repair myself to get through the season. This year I had to replace the Main Burner Bracket, 4 Tube Burners (very low grade stainless steel) 4 V-Heat tents and caster wheels (all 4 broke when moving the grill from one spot to another. Amazingly cheap quality) Had trouble getting parts- back ordered, misdelivered and so on. Still don't have all I paid for. You Can't get Customer service directly- they call you after you leave your number, still haven't called me back about my back order inquiries. Will not be considering Charmglow or Brinkmann when I make my next grill purchase......

Where Can I Get A Charmglow Model #420-0077 Burner Refrigerator?

by Dennis

I recently wanted to purchase the Charmglow 2 sided burner with refrigerator, Model #420-0077. I felt it would be a nice addition to my Charmglow grill model #7200536. It had been on sale for $200. Home Depot informed they no longer carry Charmglow products. Where can I purchase this item?

Charmglow 810-7450

its been two years and it still works ok. does have hot spots like most grills. it is kind of cheep made but like anything else you have to take care of things. most important thing is to always burn off grill after cooking to prevent rust out.

Charmglow 810-7600-S Gas Grill Review from Dothan Alabama

(Dothan, AL)

Got it on clearance for $700. Burners cracked and started leaking just over a year after I got it. Main burner valve broke and created a gas leak--can't order a new one. Looked great in the store but made out of cheap grade Stainless Steel that rusted like an old Chevy, despite always keeping it covered.

Charmglow 810-7450-S

by Chico
(Orlando, Fl USA)

Purchased our Charmglow 810-7450-S grill about a month ago and it's one of the best grills I've had so far. I use it about 1-2 times a week and I have no complaints. The craftsmanship seems to be top notch and not as "cheap" as some of the other grills I've owned.

I was skeptical at first since I have never heard of the brand and after doing some research I still had some doubts. What sold us was the price, Home Depot was having a sale and it was marked down from $280 to $149 but even at it's original price it was well worth it.

Adding to that we received an additional %10 off by buying the floor model. This grill is very simple to use, pre-heats quickly and is very easy to clean. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a quality grill at a decent price.

Charmglow 4 burner with side burner crap

by Bret Lyttle
(Niceville, FL)

Wow. What a piece of crap. I can't believe how much money we spent on this worthless, over-sized piece of junk. The people who manufacture these must be retarded. The burners lasted about a year, and then fell apart. Even the debris-catching trays melted under the heat. The baked-on finish of the exterior fades in no time at all. I can't cook hot dogs on this thing now without burning them. Such a stupid grill. I hope these aren't made in the USA. That would be an insult. Buy something else. They look great in the store, but for anyone who really likes to grill, this grill is a pathetic joke.
