Charmglow 810-7450-S

by Chico
(Orlando, Fl USA)

Purchased our Charmglow 810-7450-S grill about a month ago and it's one of the best grills I've had so far. I use it about 1-2 times a week and I have no complaints. The craftsmanship seems to be top notch and not as "cheap" as some of the other grills I've owned.

I was skeptical at first since I have never heard of the brand and after doing some research I still had some doubts. What sold us was the price, Home Depot was having a sale and it was marked down from $280 to $149 but even at it's original price it was well worth it.

Adding to that we received an additional %10 off by buying the floor model. This grill is very simple to use, pre-heats quickly and is very easy to clean. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a quality grill at a decent price.

Charmglow 810-8532-S is Worthless!
by: Anonymous

I have the same problem, the gas control knobs on the face of the grill are virtually worthless now. The front of the grill gets so hot you can't touch the metal posts so this grill is virtually worthless unless you want to pay $9 each for new knobs from charmglow (which are not the same design that mine came with). Very disappointed and my next note is to the consumer product saftey commission.

Charmglow rocks!
by: Anonymous

The 810-7450s has done very well for me. I had a Charmglow natural gas on a post grill prior to this one, and got 23 years out of it. Two years in with the new one and I have no complaints. I use it year round in all kinds of weather and it still looks good (it's covered at least half the time). I was lucky enough to get it on sale for about 150$. The original price of around 300$ would have been OK too. I dont consider myself an expert, but it seems like this grill is of the same size and quality, of other grills ranging from 6 to 8 hundred dollars. Considering what parts cost (burners and grids), that you'll have replace anyway, it's a great barbecue.

Not a sturdy cooking Surface
by: Dvaid

I purachased the 81-7450-s grill 3-2009. IT cooks great but the cooking grid has already warped and sagged. It did not come with the cast iron grate, just a thin metal grate with the same thicknes a a stove brolier for the house. I am not satified with the product as I have to spend anywhere from 50.00-100.00 for new cooking surface.

Assembly Help Charmglow 820-7450-s
by: Jennifer

To those who assembled this grill themselves:

The instructions say to use the two screws attached to the side burner valve to attach it to the side burner front panel, but the screws don't seem long enough. Anyone else have this problem?

Charmglow sucks and so does Home Depot
by: Anonymous

My Stainless Steel grill looks great. Dont let the looks fool you. I learned the hard way, the most important part is the burners. They suck in this grill. Rusted and feel apart in less than 2 years. Keep grill always covered. Spent almost $400, cant get it repaired since they wont deliver the burner, lots of complaints on internet. Check it out before buying!!!

grill review
by: papaporce

Purchased a Charmglow gas grill model 810-7450. Was told by the home deep in debt folks that this grill could be converted to natural gas. They were wrong. Grill was easy to put together. The plastic base snapped in place but the grade of steel used is of questionable strength. This grill was made in China.

I am worried that the porcelain surfaces are coated with lead paint. The chrome on the dials appear to be plastic.

Tried to contact the customer service folks at Brinkmann about the gas conversion kit and their voice computer put my call in a queue. It is now two days later and no call back.

This quality of this grill is not the Charmglow quality of the grills that were made in America.
My first Charmglow lasted 15 years of use winter and summer. This one looks like it will not last a year.

The stainless steel burners are very cheaply made and may not last too long.
