Char Griller 5050

I did my due diligence, checked out various brands for the money and readily available. I decided to purchase the Char-grill 5050 because we were in dire need of a grill after our last move. Long story short I bought this grill for my husband for Father's day. It was a pain to put together and missing a part from the get go, I invested in the cover for it as we are in Colorado and are prone to strange weather. Fat lot of good it did. This is 1 year old this week, and it is totally rusted, the pilot won't light and when you do coax it into working it will only hit the low heat, so basically I've pulled off the last two cook outs we've done and broiled in the house. Not exactly the way I want to eat at $20 Ribeye.
I called the company, we purchased it at Home Depot, but I they don't stand behind their sales any more than anyone else these days. The company worker droned on and on about "trouble" shooting and how to "reseason" my grill. Really? It's 1 year old, spend the winter under a cover except when I grilled and it looks worse than the 10 yr old grill I pitched at the land fill last year. Seriously? It needs to be replaced, what happened to standing behind your product? I'm posting some pics of this grill, in hopes NO ONE buys one because it's $400 down the trash. Which makes me seriously unhappy. NOT RICH, I could have put a really decent home made one in for that money if I'd played my cards right. I will NEVER buy another of these. Right now I'll be lucky if I can use the charcoal side this summer to make it to when I can save up for one for Xmas. :( No bueno.
Do yourself a favor, buy the next "level" of grill option up, something with a company that has some pride.
