Char-Broil Quantum System Infrared grills are something you may not know much about, so here's a brief summary. Char-Broil Quantum uses a combination of infrared and open flame (convective) heat to cook your food. Infrared is the type of heat the radiates off the solid surfaces while the convective heat rises through the small perforations of the infrared emitter. Char-Broil uses all stainless steel, as opposed to ceramics, which is far more durable.

The system stretches across the entire cooking syrface, so small pieces of food don't fall into the flames and cause flare-ups.
