Here are some Bubba Keg Grill details I was able to scrounge up. It's not a lot, because I don't have one to do a thorough analysis on. 

First, of all, I have to say that someone was really thinking outside the box when they came up with this idea. First of all, Bubba Keg^® has made there name from their uniquely designed insulated coolers and mugs. How do you make that leap? I'd really like to find out more about that process because I find it very intriguing.

However it happened, they were well positioned with their insulation technology to build a cooker that might be able to outperform the comparable ceramic style cookers. Let's face it, ceramic is far better than steel, but two layers of steel with a foam insulation in between appears to have it beat hands down.

So what does that mean right off the bat?

• Superior heat retention
• Outside stays cool to the touch
• Less charcoal is used
• No need to fiddle much

I can tell you from experience that my Chargriller burns through a bag of charcoal just doing simple things like pork ribs. When I hear people talk about using a single chimney of coals for a long cook I started crying. Seriously! I thought propane grills were bad!

At the time of this writing, it is available in select Home Depot stores. However, I haven't talked to anyone that's seen one. I will go have a look this weekend here in Atlanta.
