Bradley Smoker It isn't a set and forget smoker

I am always looking for a set and forget smoker. I thought the Bradley might be the one. I am not a professional smoker, but close. I have had offset smokers, gas fired cabinets, charcoal bullets, ceramic smoker (BGE), bradley, and a few others that I won't admit to. The bradley can produce a good product, if you put in a lot of time and work. First the unit will not reach the higher temps (between 220 and up cant be done) The unit was designed with a temp cut-off around 210-215 so if you try to increase the heat it bounces back and forth between about 170 and 210. Smoking needs a steady and constant temp. The unit is also very touchy to outside temps. You have to adjust the temp control all night and day. The main answers I got from their customer serv. was to adjust my recepie or to finish my product in the oven. I don't want to spend hundreds more to get a digital control that may or may not work.
