GRILLED EGGS FROM EGG GRILLS ANYONE?

Use this search feature to quickly find the information you're looking for.

Big Green Egg Grills (BGE) hatched in 1974 in a strip mall in Atlanta, Georgia. Ed Fisher borrowed the idea of an Oriental cooking concept with ceramics and gave birth to the Big Green Egg grill. BGE is the world's largest manufacturer of kamado-style cookers, with international distribution.

It is the fastest growing category in the United States' barbecue industry and the EGG is available for purchase in over twenty countries. There are five sizes of EGG grills to choose from, with over one hundred accessories and products related to grilling available.

A lot of the marketing for EGG is done by word of mouth, as more and more people become acquainted with the concept and are more than thrilled with the food the Big Green Egg grills produce. Television, radio, and print media have all been turned onto the Big Green Egg grills through such mediums as The Today Show, The View, HGTV Landscape Smart, and RVFN Barbecuing with Bobby Flay. Dr. BBQ, chef and champion barbecue champion travels from competition to competition using the EGG grill.

Big Green Egg XLMade with space age ceramics, these grills can endure any type of weather for good all around grilling. Whether you live in the Sahara Desert or the Yukon, the EGGs are a great purchase for your home. The five sizes are mini through extra large and the line's additions include cooking space extenders, natural lump charcoal, cleaning tools, utensils and pizza stones. Feel like decking yourself out to match your grill? Apparel is also available to the consumer. You're not sure how the EGG works? There is an instructional DVD for your viewing pleasure. So, whether you are a novice or a champion chef, this product is the perfect buy for you!

Benefits of the Big Green Egg grills include the following:

  • Ready to cook within ten minutes with no need of lighter fluid.
  • Heat is retained within the ceramic walls for even and accurate temperature throughout.
  • Unburned charcoal can be reused, and extra charcoal is not necessary.
  • No flare-ups within the enclosed EGG.
  • Can handle temperatures from 0ºF-1800ºF
  • Year round grilling
  • Surface is cool, so it is safe around children and pets
  • Rust proof
  • Retains flavor and juices for mouthwatering food products.

When you want your meats seared, slow-smoked, well done or rare, the EGGs will give you what you are looking for. An entire meal can be prepared on these grills: main dishes, veggies, breads, and desserts – we run the gamut! Just put in a chunk of natural lump coal, turn on the grill to heat 'er up and let 'er rip.

The XL EGG has 425 square inches of cooking surface and can cook two twenty pound turkeys, 24 hamburgers, 11 whole chickens, 12 steaks, or 14 racks of ribs. In comparison, the Large will cover 255 square inches while cooking a twenty-pound turkey, a dozen burgers, half a dozen chickens and some steaks and ribs.

Not looking for something that big? How about the small EGG that is perfect for individuals or small families with 133 square inches of cooking space, and cooks one 12-pound turkey, 4 burgers, 1 chicken, 2 steaks, or 1 rack of ribs. The Mini Big Green Egg grill is portable and great for campouts. This guy'll cook 2 chicken breasts, 2 pork chops, or 1 steak.

Whatever your pleasure, you can find these internationally at locations that include Barbecues Galore, High Country Outfitters and Amazon. However, if you're going to get one online, I highly recommend you check out Fred's Music & BBQ Supply. You'll be amazed at everything you will find here. I need to plan a trip to Pennsylvania to check this place out in person!
