Amana am27lp gas grill

Bought at Major dept chain two years ago its junk. Need new burner, new heat plates and the grill is on a covered porch. Went to several places including the dept store where it was purchased no parts available anywhere. Would never buy again and I cant believe that Amana would put their good name on a grill that they dont even manufacture. I will be contacting Amana and letting them know that they can have their grill back. I had a Thermos gas grill for 15 years best gas grill we ever owned.

Our grill is 2 years old and literally rusting from the inside out, the burners and covers are crumbling. We have called sure heat the replacement part provider 9 times-we have finally received some of the equipment need to repair the grill, but due to the fact that the grill is rusting out we cannont even repair it as there is not enough intact metal to do this with. We are horibly dissatisified with the grill and would never purchase another Amana product.

I bought mine at Target and was lured in by the good looks and cheap price. Oops.

I've since found that this grill is constructed with cheap materials, namely very thin stainless steel and is put together with pop-rivets. A number of these have already "popped" out.

The burners appear to be in good shape but this grill does not look like it did when I bought it. It really cheapens the overall appearance on my deck.

I'll be looking for recommendations that are affordable for next summer. If anyone has suggestions, please share them with me here so I can consider them.

Amana Stainless Steel 5 Burner Gas Grill

We purchased the Amana ss 5 Burner Grill at our local Target store. We have only used it for about 2 years. This past Spring we discovered that the 3 cell burner and the flavor grids were literally crumbling and badly needed to be replaced. On June 21st, 2010 I called and ordered these parts. I was told that they would not be delivered in time for our July 4th family gathering at our home but we should get them shortly after that. I called again on July 14th only to be told that they were on back order and it would be sometime mid August before the parts would be shipped.

I called again on August 23rd and once again was told that they are still on back order because Amana chooses to outsources to China and these particular parts are also outsourced to yet another company in China and now they will not be shipped until sometime this month. The whole grilling season has past and we have not been able to use our grill. It is sadly sitting on our deck covered up waiting for the parts to arrive. This is unacceptable.

I, as a consumer, am deeply disappointed in Amana and their lack of service as well as their products and their lack of durability. This was not a cheap grill but it was the first Amana one that we have purchased. I can promise you that it will be the last. I will buy a grill that has it's warehouse in the U.S. We should have stuck with Kenmore brands. They have never failed us with any of our concerns. Again, this is ridiculous and unacceptable. No wonder so many companies who choose to outsource to other countries is going down the tubes. It's for reason like this.

Amana SF 278 LP Didn't Last Long

This was a nice grill BUT it only lasted 3 year's before the burners burnt out The warrenty is 5 year's on the stainless steel door's and lid WHOOPY 1 year on all other part's.It is going to cost me over 180 dollars to fix it.Maybe I can use the cabinet for storage? We payed a little more for the Amana name thinking it was top of the line NOT I would never own another Amana Grill and would advice anyone else not to buy one.
