60 Year Old Cook 'n' Kettle

60 years old and still going

The cook 'n' kettle goes from 225 degrees to flames. It will smoke, BBQ, grill, Rotisserie, and Sear. Being made of cast iron it retains heat well and with available accessories and replacement parts it should be a grill that will last two life times.

Age of a cast iron Cook N Kettle

If the damper on the bottom of the kettle is offset to the side it is a 1947 to 1972 model. If the damper is directly on the bottom, it is 1973 to present model.
The Cook N Kettle photo from Mississippi show a side damper unit that it in great shape.

How can you tell the age of a cook'n'kettle?? Just snaged one with a rack to roll it around for 20 bones. I know nothing about it but that it works great.

Stick with a grill that works

That's awesome. The Cook n Kettle looks like it's designed to last. If it works, use it. Why get caught up in all the new fangled stuff?
